The Village - a Wellbeing Sanctuary just 75 minutes from Lisbon.

neos·village is located in Alentejo, Portugal, in 410 ha (1,010 acres) of lush nature just 75 minutes outside of Lisbon. Enough land to develop a village for 1,000 people centred around healing, well-being and awakening.

Our mission:
To model a new way of being & living

The neos·village mission unfolds through two sides of the village as a whole ecosystem. Both are essential for the manifestation of the whole. The public part of the village is the outwards, yang facing side of the whole - this is on the north of the lake. The residential part is the inwards, yin facing side of the whole - this is on the south side of the lake.

The Public Side

The public side is the interface with the world, actualising our mission in being a torch bearer for the planet, providing internationally recognised educational and transformational experiences to the public. It is also the revenue engine of the village, enabling ongoing development of the mission.

The Residential Side

The residential community is intended as a living example of all that the public side is teaching, put into community practice, e.g. living in harmony with nature, decentralised governance, regenerative/circular economy, biodiversity restoration.

Leading edge in transformation & wellbeing

Here, you can see the two sides of the land, where the blueprint for a self-sufficient sanctuary is taking root—a place where eco-innovation harmonizes with nature's wisdom.

From an organic farm to energy-efficient dwellings, each element is designed to nourish, inspire, and respect the earth. Witness the blossoming of a land destined for healing, and a deep commitment to environmental stewardship.

the ideal location

Alentejo - a place of pure poetry

In the timeless landscape of Alentejo, where birdsong, immaculate starry skies, oak and pine trees, vineyards, olive groves and orange orchards are weaved together with ancient sundrenched white villages and castle ruins, it is easy to forget who you were, in the profound silence and presence of pure poetic being.

This region is recognized for fine wines and cultural gastronomy, a reverence for community, environmental sustainability, and heritage - for instance World Heritage (Elvas and Évora) and Cultural Intangible Heritage of Humanity (Cante Alentejo) and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (Castro Verde).

Inspiring artists and writers, Alentejo is a land of purity, light, wholeness, and minimalist beauty - values that precisely align with neoslife’s ethos of a new way of being.

Our closest town is Montemor-o-Novo, loved by artists, rich in community cooperatives, syntropic farms, the arts and healing spaces.

We welcome you into a sanctuary of peace and rejuvenation within a rich history of past civilisations: Neolithic, Arab, Romans and Phoenician.
